Fearless by Max Lucado

I just finished reading Fearless by Max Lucado. This is a great read for anyone who struggles with anxiety, due to money, health, or just worries. It is an inspiring book about God's provision. Mr. Lucado uses many Scriptural references that solidifies the Biblical basis for his encouragement to those who are anxious or are living in fear.

Coming up....

Here are some books that I have on my Amazon Kindle (which is free to put on your PC--love it).

Expect to hear about...

Zealous Love: a practical guide to social justice

If the Church were Christian

And then some Christian fiction books...
the almost true story of Ryan fisher
The someday list
A bride must begrudging
hide in plain sight
Snow melts in spring

The telling

by Beverly Lewis

You can’t go wrong with Beverly Lewis! She is an amazing story teller, and The telling is captivating, yet predictable at times. 4 ½ out of 5 stars.

Escape!!

by Carolyn Jessop
A riveting tale of one woman’s escape from a Mormon polygamous situation. Jessop holds no details back and will shock you at times. 5 out of 5 stars.

Amish Cousins

Cousin's challenge and cousin's prayer by Wanda Brunsetter

Great, light and quick reads with an Amish setting. A lovely summer beach read, or a weekend read. The characters are like-able and the writing is great. 5 out of 5 stars.

Read this book!!!!

When helping hurts by Steve Corbett

A MUST read for every Christian!!! This book looks at the three major forms of helping that Christians do--relief, rehabilitation or development. This book makes a strong point for development and has wonderful examples and deep reflective questions to ponder.

5 out of 5 stars!

Burn up or Splash down!

by Marion Knell

An excellent read for anyone preparing to come back to their home country after being overseas. It compares the process of re-entry to Apollo 13. Also great tips for those on the receiving end. Has a section devoted to kids and teens. 5 out of 5 stars.

Call to Conversion

Call to Conversion by Jim Wallis

This book has great concepts, but it was a bit dry in parts, which made it hard for me to stay focused and read the book, which has left me with not much to say about it. It is very much a theoretical book, and I personally learn best by stories and examples.

3.5 out of 5 stars.

Fasting!

Fasting by Jentezen Franklin

This book is a great introduction to the basics of fasting. It gives the reader the theology of fasting, as well as some different types of fasting the reader should consider. It is easily understood, and a quick read.

5 out of 5 stars!

Christian Mission in a Modern World

Great Christian classic on how evangelism and social justice can complement each other, and why each are an important component of Christianity today.  A thin book that is a great weekend read or a airplane read! Can be wordy at times.  4 1/2 out of 5 stars.
